The images I decided to post are images that I was the most proud of turning in for each week. The project shown in this post was setting up a still life with lighting and textures that matched the references as closely as possible.
I learned a lot more about UV mapping than I did before this class. I absolutely hated UV mapping before this class, but thanks to my teacher’s helpful video explanations, it made a lot more sense to me. Also, I learned about texturing in Photoshop, which I found pretty fun to do. I learned about layering materials and different types of lights in Maya to make your scenes more realistic. Finally, I learned about Nuke, which I found to be the most fun thing to do. Nuke can do so much to images in terms of color correction, photo editing, and compositing. I never knew about the program prior to this class and I have not explored any tools on my own yet, but I plan on learning more about it all now that this class gave me an appreciation for it.
